Yesterday was our 2nd time to attend Nestle’s cooking demo. I honestly would like to learn how to bake it’s just that i don’t have an oven. The big oven we have before was left in my dad’s house. Actually, for the love of food i’m willing to learn new stuffs like baking plus with the coming holiday season it could be a good business :)
We were late as usual, but didn’t miss much since the first part was always an easy recipe. We were just right on time for the highlight of the demo which were cookies and bars. The chef was a young female who took up fine arts and has a degree in business but has this love for baking. She said she bakes for loved ones and does not sell her food. My impression was she can be a good teacher coz her willingness to share is overwhelming. She mentioned that she loves baking with her 3y/o niece helping her out. The demo was interactive with the audience being invited to participate in preparing either the layers or the toppings. It was like a “do this, bake and wait while we prepare the other one” which left me a little lost along the discussion plus i’m a little sleepy due to lack of sleep from the previous days. Anyway, all her recipes tastes good specially the Sunburst lemon bars. This time the demo ended a little earlier than the last time with some of the audience already wanting to go home after the food taste. Of course we waited a little bit just to take a pic with the lovely chef.
We went straight to the mall after to buy some drinks and have our usual chika time. Too bad we were not able to connect to chat with Macky. These are the moments where we really missed his company. I hope he goes home on his birthday!
